Punch cards to floopies ...floppies to CDs ... CDs to flash drives ........ technology takes giant leaps to store huge amounts of info ........ but the hard drive on the top floor of the human anatomy still remains the same ............ and when it crashes temporarily , the output is worth a watch ............
Like what a fiasco it was when a colleage mate of mine (X) went to a college feast and found that another frd of his was nominated for a quiz and was invited on stage .........since the other guy was not present , X writes that guy's name on an empty id card and goes on stage .......... and forgets who he is during the introduction round ............ so in front of a huge audience , he removes his id card from his pocket and reads his assumed name :-) ...........
Or like my colleague over here who is sweet but pretty absent minded ............ she forgets her apartment and tries her keys on every other apartment she thinks is hers .......... now we hv hung a wall piece outside as an indicator ............. an she does it with her car too ..... goes to put her keys in any car she thinks would b hers and we remind her thats not ours :-) ............
Or like the embarrasment another colleague of mine had to face when he took me to introduce myself to some of his clients ...hes been working with them for some 6 mnths now ........ an whn we go up to one of them ....she asks him only who he is ........... I sumhow controlled my laughter with great difficulty ...........
All said an done .......... irrespective of how much technology advances ...human memory is still the best and the sweetest ......... and this memory leaks now and then makes us more human than the sophisticated gizmos .
