I live by these

"Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn't know it so it goes on flying anyway"

Meaning : Science is not everything , a living being has enormous potential and ability to surpass expectations !

I guess all of us hate talking to the wall - you can say whatever you want to , as many times as you would like to , the wall still remains a mute spectator. Its of no use other than venting your emotions. At such times we realize the importance of communication - active participation between two parties. Words act as messengers for our thoughts and feelings and we need the same in exchange.

I was interacting with a person lately who seemed to be no different than the wall - did not reply to my multiple emails or voice messages and had no courtesy to respond via any medium for months. Years earlier one had to take out time to write a letter , drop it at the post box , wait for weeks for the snail mail to reach its destination and a reply to get back the same route. Or wait for an appropriate time of the day when both are available to have a real time conversation. Today we don't have an excuse with easy internet access and smartphones. And I don't believe in the excuse that life is too busy for maintaining friendships and relationships. How much time does it take to drop an email on the go or atleast reply to the ones received within reasonable time ? I truly wonder.

So as people move places in a truly global world , the concept 'Out of sight and out of mind' is gaining rapid popularity. It makes me sad - you spend time and energy knowing someone , sharing thoughts , getting attached only to lose contact sometime down the lane. And repeat this process everywhere you go ... local acquaintances in a global world !
